201 Stainless Steel Seamless Tube

The characteristic of 201 stainless steel seamless tube is acid-resisting, alkali-resistance, high density, no bubbles by polishing, no pinhole and etc., It is high-quality material in the production of various straps and covers.

Alro stocks 201-2B Cold Rolled Mill Finish Stainless Steel tube - a lower-cost alternative to the conventional 304 stainless. About half of the nickel content of 304 is replaced with alloy additions of manganese and nitrogen. This results in higher strength than 304 stainless steel. Copper is added to compensate for the increased work-hardening rate. Type 201 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel that was developed originally to conserve nickel. This alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but becomes magnetic when cold worked. 




Application

Type 201 is used to produce a range of household appliances, including sinks, cooking utensils, washing machines, windows and doors. It is also used in automotive trim, decorative architecture, railway cars, trailers and clamps. Decorate use, industrial use, traffic vehicle,stair handrail,protective window,banisters,furniture and other areas.

It is not recommended for structural outdoor applications because of its susceptibility to pitting and crevice corrosion.
